In my comparison-shopping I found the free range eggs to be about $1 per dozen higher than the supermarket brand eggs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN9050.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-375\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN9050-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN9050\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN9050-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/DSCN9050-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Producers of free range eggs tout benefits such as no pesticides, GMOs (genetically modified organisms), or antibiotics. Eggs from chickens raised with such amenities as nest boxes, perches, and scratching areas, and the all important law mandated minimum 2 square feet of outdoor space per chicken producers believe delivers a better tasting egg. There are critics who don\u2019t see the value. My tried and true method to hard cook eggs is:<\/p>\n<p>Place the eggs into a pan. Add enough (cold, from the tap) water to completely cover the eggs. Place the lid on the pan and bring the water to a rolling boil. Remove from the heat and let stand covered for 18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Drain and remove the eggs from the pan, then place them into a bowl of cool water to stop the cooking process. This method produces a perfectly cooked egg without developing the black sulphur ring around the yolk that comes from overcooking eggs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Untitled1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-433\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Untitled1-300x282.png\" alt=\"Untitled\" width=\"300\" height=\"282\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Untitled1-300x282.png 300w, https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Untitled1.png 435w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cut each egg into half; remove the yolks and place them into a bowl. Mash the yolks while adding \u00bd to 1 mashed anchovy fillet, and salt, black pepper, mayonnaise and mustard to taste. Fill each egg with this mixture.
