It has been open since December\u00a02014 at the Hotel Normandie, a hot new spot in\u00a0Korea-town\u00a0which is still a work in\u00a0progress as they are seeking to upgrade the spot for more events and parties.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/imgres-7.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-560\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/imgres-7.jpeg\" alt=\"imgres-7\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cassell\u2019s brings a touch of now to the place despite all the old signs on the wall\u00a0brought from the old location. The atmosphere is very lively but quite noisy since the tables\u00a0are very close together, but the staff couldn\u2019t be more welcoming and I for one look\u00a0forward to returning.<\/p>\n<p>The menu is fairly simple and straightforward, and if you go for a simple hamburger or\u00a0cheeseburger you will be extremely satisfied. The meat comes from Aspen and yes it is\u00a0grass fed and is Angus chuck, and the buns from La Brea Bakery really nail it. Chef in\u00a0charge is Christian Page who is bestowed with the task of maintaining the Cassell\u2019s reputation\u00a0which started in 1948 by Al Cassell.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/url.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-561\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/url-300x200.jpeg\" alt=\"url\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/url-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/url.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He specialized in fresh meat grinding and also came\u00a0up with homemade sides such as the world famous potato salad, chips and cole slaw.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the crowd seemed to be of the younger ilk, many old timers who missed\u00a0Cassell\u2019s specialty burgers have found their way to the new space, and unless the loud\u00a0classic rock has put them off; they should be back for more. Prices for the burgers with\u00a0all the trimmings are $10.9 to $15.99 and burger weight is from 1\/3 to 2\/3 pounds.<\/p>\n<p>The chef in\u00a0charge of the cooking is Christian Page who likes to make it perfectly clear that he did\u00a0not re-create the 1948 Cassel\u2019s, but did in fact bring it back to life re-worked the care\u00a0and effort that Al Cassell took in setting up.<\/p>\n<p>The Cross Fire Broiled Burger has Thousand Island dressing, lettuce, tomato, onions\u00a0and pickles and you can add bacon or fried egg if you wish at an extra cost. The\u00a0cheeseburger is equally as popular if not more so, and they also have a Burger Patty\u00a0minus the bun, and a Patty Melt with cheese served on toasted rye bread.<\/p>\n<p>Cassell\u2019s also has a full bar and are actively building up their cocktail menu where house\u00a0versions cost $10 each.
