CA(Perfect Meal Today)3\/20\/15\/&#8211;Beginning in 2014, Orange County has seen a whirlwind of activity in the number of trendy, open-air, mall-type restaurants and bars that have popped up, with several more scheduled to open in the next few months.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_05.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-608\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_05.jpeg\" alt=\"ADYA_MenuPreview_05\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_05.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_05-150x150.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Often called \u201cclusters\u201d, this concept has caught on like a firestorm, and has become wildly popular with a wide range of customers, especially young adults.<\/p>\n<p>The common denominator of these upscale food courts\/eateries is the communal ambience designed into the layouts within the buildings. The casual, friendly atmosphere has proven to be very conducive to customers mixing and mingling. Restaurants included in these \u201cclusters\u201d are Anaheim Packing House, Anaheim; Pacific City, Huntington Beach; Fourth Street Market, Santa Ana; and Union Market in Tustin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_44.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-610\" src=\"http:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_44.jpeg\" alt=\"ADYA_MenuPreview_44\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_44.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/perfectmealtoday.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/ADYA_MenuPreview_44-150x150.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Anaheim Packing House District\u2019s ADYA Indian Restaurant\u2019s Executive Chef\/Owner, Shachi Mehra, had intended to complete her studies and become a doctor. However at the age of 21 she got a job at Trap Rock Restaurant and Brewery in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Immediately she realized that her true passion was not medicine; it was food and cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Chef Shachi believes in sustainability practices and buying from local farmers\/suppliers whenever possible. Her extensive knowledge of Indian culture and foods has allowed her to meld them and California cuisine with such deftness that she has earned the recognition of the two prestigious magazines. She was selected as the Rising Star by Gentry Magazine, and named Queen of India by the Orange County Riviera Magazine.<\/p>\n<p>Shachi\u2019s creation, chipatti with lamb provided the perfect wrap-sandwich for a light lunch, reminiscent of the warm spices used extensively in the cuisine of exotic India. While not certain of the exact spices used in this wrap, typical Indian spices\/seasonings include cumin, coriander, cardamom, mustard, mango powder, ginger, asafetida, fenugreek, chilies, turmeric, tamarind, curry leaf, coconut milk, kewara water, cashews, almonds, pistachios, and the most expensive spice in the world, saffron.
