HOLLYWOOD(Perfect Meal Today)11/17/16/—The restaurant group that made its name on hamburgers has just launched a new vegan menu, and after an exclusive tasting at The Hollywood location I can announce that they have done their homework. Star of the show might just be the Cauliflower Wings, a generous portion of crispy Buffalo style wings served With bleu cheese, celery and carrot sticks for $11.95. If cauliflower is your thing, then the Cauliflower Burger is a must which is served with seasoned fries for $15.95. This burger has been well thought out by the kitchen team, and the generous house made patty also includes garlic, egg, goat cheese, oregano & breadcrumbs, and topped with zucchini, squash and Monterey Jack cheese and served on a toasted bun with arugula, tomato and garlic aioli.

Also of interest to this writers palate was the Grilled Ratatouille Wrap (12.50), grilled eggplant and assorted vegetables with sriracha mayonnaise, olive oil and baby arugula in a grilled flour tortilla and a side salad.

If the wrap is not your thing then try the Ratatouille Flatbread (12.50) that is topped with garlic oil and grilled vegetables along with Romano and mozzarella cheeses and a sprinkling of garlic aioli.

I also liked the Pico de Quinoa Arugulu Salad ($13.95), a nice juicy salad with lime juice and chopped cilantro and topped with shredded Brussels sprouts, spicy pecans, feta cheese and raisins all in a citrus vinaigrette. There is also a Fennel, Beet and Orange salad ($13.95) also in a vinaigrette made this time out of garlic, lime and cumin.

Yes there are some drinks connected to these new menu items starting with The Very Veggy Tini ($9) with Tito’s Vodka mixed up with yoghurt, cucumber, red onion, mint and lime juice. The Wascally Wabbit however is alcohol free w/carrot juice, apple juice, orange juice and ginger for $4.50. Even more adventurous in the drinks department are the $15.99 Mason Jar specials where you keep the glass. Star of the show is the Spiced Cinnamon Mule with Absolut Vodka, Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, Spiced Brown Sugar, lime juice and ginger beer. Other special drinks on tap are the Blackberry Peach Bramble w/Botanist Gin, Peachy Keen Punch w/Patron Tequila and Pyrat Rum, Rush on the Rocks w/Crown Royal Whisky and Mango Tequila Sunrise w/Cuevo Gold Tequila and Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum.
