HOLLYWOOD (Perfect Meal Today) 8/8/17— 800 Degrees In Hollywood at Sunset and Vine, the authentic Neapolitan-style pizzeria founded by Executive Chef Anthony Carron has set itself apart from its competitors with their delicious Old World pizzas made with hand-stretched dough, premium-quality cheeses, produce and charcuterie all authentic Italian ingredients and style. On Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 Chef Carron and 800 Degrees’ new C.E.O. Tommy Lee have turned up the summer heat at 800 Degrees Hollywood by introducing a New Look, and New Menu with Rotisserie Chicken, Cocktails and more !!
Since 2012, 800 Degrees has become known for its authentic Neapolitan-style pizza and chef-driven offerings, only serving top quality ingredients. While wanting to maintain that reputation, Carron and C.E.O Tommy Lee also wanted to bring something new to the menu, so they decided to introduce Rotisserie Chicken at 800 Degrees Hollywood to allow their guests a bit more variety when dining at the restaurant, also paying homage to the longstanding tradition between pizza and rotisserie chicken in Naples, Italy.
Chef Carron explained his inspiration for adding rotisserie chicken to the menu from his travels back to Italy “My inspiration for adding rotisserie chicken to the 800 Degrees Hollywood menu was driven by a visit to Isola d’Ischia, an island off the coast of Naples, where I visited many rosticceria and pizzerias,”. “After visiting many more pizzerias and delving into the history of cuisine in Naples, I noticed a connection between pizza, rotisserie chicken, and the use of that chicken on pizzas and salads. Executive Chef Carron further said he couldn’t wait to incorporate his findings on the 800 Degrees Menu and is very excited to introduce Rotisserie Chicken to the 800 Degrees Hollywood location.”
Chef Carron and 800 Degrees Hollywood have partnered with Palisades Ranch to provide all-natural rotisserie chicken to guests at the Hollywood location. The Rotisserie Chicken is available on the menu as a plate with two sides, or individually when purchased in whole. Plates come with the option of a Quarter Chicken ($9.95), Half Chicken ($14.95), and Whole Chicken ($25.95), served with two sides and a choice of sauce. Guests can choose from a Side of Rotisserie Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts,Hummus, Farm Greens, or Quinoa Tabbouleh.
All 800 Degrees Sauces are made in-house daily using fresh and local ingredients. Guests can pick from six different sauce options to accompany the Rotisserie Chicken including a Peruvian Jalapeno-Cilantro Sauce reminiscent of a Peruvian “Aji” sauce made with jalapeños, cilantro, lime, mayo and garlic, producing spicy and cool flavors at the same time. The 800 Degrees Barbecue Sauce is a top-secret homemade version of the American classic, and the TahiniSauce is a classic Middle Eastern tradition made with tahini paste, garlic and olive oil.
The Spicy Tomato Sauce features uncooked Roma tomatoes, blended with garlic, olive oil and Calabrian Chile, and the Calabrian Chile Aioli includes Italian chiles blended with herbs, spices and aioli. Lastly, the Piri Piri Sauce is one of the most popular sauces for chicken around the world featuring a tangy blend of citrus, chiles, garlic, onion, herbs and olive oil.
Along with the new Rotisserie Chicken, Carron and Lee also wanted to update the menu adding Grilled Artichoke appetizers ; special Feta cheese spread; and baked Salmon Salad ;
Also the look of the 800 Degrees Hollywood location is an entirely new guest experience that is warm and inviting, by adding all new lighting and warm brown leather booths and banquets with dark wood and marble top tables inside the restaurant. They expanded their patio multiple tables for two, and an outdoor bar all covered with umbrellas and canopy’s so guests can enjoy dining at lunch or dinner outdoors comfortably.
Carron and Lee have also added a list of handcrafted Classic Cocktails the Mezcal Margarita and Old fashion whiskey to accompany the Wine and Beer offerings,
