Orange County(Perfect Meal Today)4/10/15/–Considering the approximately 200 restaurant locations in the United States plus restaurants in 18 other countries, it is probably safe to assume that most of you reading this post have dined at a P. F. Chang’s Bistro Restaurant at least once in your lifetime, and are thus familiar with their menu. Therefore, I will confine my observations and comments to just one P. F. Chang menu item – the Tempura-Battered Crispy Green Beans served with P. F. Chang’s signature spicy dipping sauce.
Although fried, the thin batter-coating produces a non-greasy, crunchy crust which surrounds the al dente green beans. This zesty appetizer really stands out as being just a little more imaginative and satisfying than the run of the mill appetizer.
At $7.50 this appetizer is a bargain considering that the ample order size is more than sufficient for two people.
A spontaneous taste description of the Crispy Green Beans might be “These strings have zing with a crunch that sings”.
