Lake Forest, CA(Perfect Meal Today)4/24/15/–In addition to her successful catering business, Yolanda’s Café is open daily and serves breakfast and lunch from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Café has mostly inside seating, however there are a few tables with umbrellas outside the café. Yolanda’s is located at 23615 El Toro Road, Suite T, Lake Forest, CA 92630, 949-951-8675.
This is not a pretentious restaurant; the tables have plastic tablecloths with small vases of artificial flowers. Decorations on the walls are a mixture of French and American country, evoking a homey, relaxed ambiance reminiscent of bygone days. Menu items include traditional foods most of us grew up on, e.g., meatloaf, grilled cheese sandwiches, and roast chicken. The Café is easily accessible and has ample parking in front.
Breakfast at the Café is a real treat. A surprisingly huge, freshly baked croissant is served with many full-breakfast menu items. These are not the off-the-shelf variety croissants; they are ethereal and worth a visit to the Café.
Many breakfast items come with Yolanda’s Homestyle Oven Browned Potatoes (YOBP), if not you may add them to your order for a small charge. The potatoes are in no way greasy and are uniformly browned on the outside producing the best tasting potatoes ever. Once you have tried them, chances are that you will be a YOBP convert.

Perhaps because of its proximity to Laguna Woods Village, this Café has a large clientele of seniors.

Whether the occasion is Mardi Gras, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, wedding anniversary, or birthday, Yolanda’s always manages to create and serve high quality, great tasting food at reasonable prices.
Customers, almost without exception make a point to catch Yolanda during the busy evening of each catered event to tell her how much they are enjoying the food. Many also compliment her on the excellent service by her efficient staff. A point stressed most often is that even though the group may be quite large, the food reaches the table still at the perfect serving/eating temperature (a rarity in many large group catered events).
